I was standing in the cold mountain rain
this was no dream
the voice of every verdant being cried out
lay your body down and be with me

it's been years since the vision
I can't forget what I've seen
I remember every moment there
in the heart of the green

there in the highest meadow
the fog denied the sun
but the field was full of flowers, shining every one
I felt like I bring down a bolt of lightning with my two hands
but instead I watched a honeybee going about his plans

would you ever go there with me if I brought the wine
have you ever really wanted me in your life
like the love of the vines

I only need a minute and I'll pack my bags for the mountain side
just let me die with green fingers inside
I'll be feeling fine
there will come a time

it's been years since that vision
I'll never forget what I've seen
there for a moment I was part of the green
